Curriculum

CCA enrolls children age three through sixth grade. In these formative years, it is our goal to cultivate academic excellence and a Christian foundation.

Our pre-school program for three and four year-olds is not a daycare, but a fun, engaging environment that builds a solid academic foundation. All of our kindergarteners leave the K5 class as effective readers and competent in mathematics, placing our students ahead of the curve as they enter first grade. Of the many highlights of our elementary academic program, we place a special emphasis on character development and effective written and verbal communication, to complement our rigorous program in our core subjects.

We offer a well-balanced combination curriculum. Our curriculum consists of the Positive Action for Christ for Bible, A Beka for Math/Language Arts/Reading/Spelling, Sadlier-Oxford for Vocabulary, Pearson Core Knowledge for Social Studies and Christian School International for Science. Our Science is a hands-on inquiry based program that has participated in the Maryland Math Engineering Science Achievement program.
